Matchday 36 Review – Montedio Yamagata 1-0 Tokyo Verdy
Verdy fell to a 1-0 defeat to Montedio Yamagata thanks to a goal on the 20th minute thanks to Ryosuke Matsuoka, to the game itself, the goal was because of silly Verdy defending – a cross into the Verdy box across the floor was kicked into the box by a Verdy player and another Verdy miscontrolled it and then Ryosuke got the ball and put it past Shibasaki to make it 1-0 to Yamagata, in the 36th minute, Yamagata had a good chance to make it 2-0 but the ball just went over the bar, just a minute later – Verdy probably had one of the best chance of the game when Vieira put a chance just over the bar, in the 2nd half Yamagata had a good chance but they put it wide – another chance for Yamagata fell just wide of the post, Verdy had a great chance from a Yoshiaki Takagi FK from just inside the D – but Yoshiaki’s FK hit the cross bar – so close to a goal, another great chance for Verdy from another Yoshiaki FK from the right hand side of the box and a Verdy player hit the post and it fell to Taira who skied the ball over the bar with the goal gaping so it stilled 1-0 to Yamagata – I don’t know how Taira actually missed it, Diego got himself sent off after picking up a second yellow card after what the ref though he dived to get a penalty but it finished 1-0 to Yamagata.
