Matchday 22 Preview – FC Gifu v Tokyo Verdy

Tokyo Verdy‘s 22nd game into the 2015 JLeague Division 2 season is Away to 21st place FC Gifu, after Verdy’s come back against FC Gifu at Ajinomoto Stadium in April still fresh in the memory (not so much in Gifu’s memory), halfway through the 2015 season, both teams face each other once again, mixed results for both teams on Matchday 21 (Sat 4th July), Verdy drew 1-1 with Avispa at Ajinomoto Stadium and FC Gifu lost 3-1 away to JEF United Chiba at Fukuda Denshi Stadium, Gifu are 2nd off bottom but they aint far behind the teams above them (from 16th to 21st its 3 points the difference), so Gifu really would like to upset the form book and get those 3 points they desperately need and hope teams around them slip up but are missing key men due to injury. A little history about games against each other, Gifu and Verdy have done the double over each other the past 2 seasons, Gifu did the double over Verdy in the 2014 season and Verdy did the double over Gifu in the 2013 season so who knows what will happen.
