Matchday 17 Preview – Tokyo Verdy v FC Gifu (2016)

Matchday 17 Preview – Tokyo Verdy v FC Gifu

Verdy’s 17th game of the 2016 J2 season is at Home against FC Gifu at Ajinmoto Field Nishigaoka Stadium (which is just over 7,000 Capacity), Verdy were on a decent run before Verdy travelled to Renofa and got beat by 3 goals to 1 – after Sunday’s result, Verdy are currently 18th place after having only won 3 games, drawn 6 and lost 7, a -10 goal difference and currently have 15 points, looking at Gifu now, they are currently 11th place – 6 wins, 2 draws but have lost 8 games with a -8 goal difference – it’s going to be intresting how this game plays out – if results go Verdy’s way and Verdy wins they would go up a few places to 16th place at least, fingers crossed it will be a win for Verdy, let’s have a look at the head to head between both clubs – out of the 15 games that have been played, it looks like this – Verdy wins – 10, Draws – 2, Gifu wins – 3, the game between both sides that is still fresh in the memory is the 4-3 win against FC Gifu last season
If you don’t remember it, FC Gifu were 3-0 up after 30 minutes, but Verdy scored 4 goals in the last 12 minutes of the game, I’m sure Gifu players/fans hope that never ever happens again. LET’S FIGHT TOWARDS VICTORY
