On the JLeague website on the 29th June, it was announced that Gamba Osaka veteran Takahiro Futagawa has been loaned to Verdy for the rest of the season

Takahiro Futagawa has been at Gamba Osaka since 1999 (over 17 years at one club) and has played almost 600 times for the blue/black half of Osaka and he has been in the thick of things when it comes to winning silverware – Two J1 Titles, Two League Cup, Four Emperor’s Cups and the AFC Champions League in 2008 and even appeared for the Japan National side in 2006.

But Takahiro has found it difficult to be in the 1st team currently having only played once and that was in the AFC Champions League and has been playing for the Gamba Osaka U23 side in J3 – he’s played 10 times and scored 1 goal, but has been put on loan to Tokyo Verdy instead

Here are a bit of info about Takahiro Futagawa –

Position – Midfielder
Date of birth – 27/6/1980

First Game – 28/8/1999
