Matchday 23 Review – V-Varen Nagasaki 2-1 Tokyo Verdy (2016)

Matchday 23 Review – V-Varen Nagasaki 2-1 Tokyo Verdy

Verdy went down to another odd goal defeat and it’s the 3rd time in a row (4 out of the last 5 results) that Tokyo Verdy has been involved in a result that was 2-1 (in the last 5 results, it’s been 2-1 with 1 result only being 1-0) – but only winning 1 of those 2-1 results – beating against Fagiano Okayama on Sunday 10th July, but V-Varen beat Verdy 2-1 last Saturday and it’s a another result that leaves Verdy in the bottom 4, it really didn’t start off well for Verdy when V-Varen scored so early on after they had a chance and it hit off the post and Koichi Sato came up and just put the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-0 after only 5 minutes, after that Verdy and Nagasaki had some decent chances in the 1st and into the start of the 2nd half but it wasn’t until Alan Pinheiro came on in the 62th minute that he made a difference and Pinheiro played a DF splitting pass to Daisuke Takagi and he chipped the ball past the Nagasaki GK to make it 1-1, Verdy were back in the game, but only 3 minutes later Nagasaki got back in front after Keita Nakamura shot from about 20 yards out which beat Suzuki and it went into the bottom left hand corner to make it 2-1 and that’s how it finished – another bad result for Verdy, let’s hope for a decent result in the next game.
