Matchday 32 Review – Tokyo Verdy 3-2 Kamatamare Sanuki (2016)

Matchday 32 Review – Tokyo Verdy 3-2 Kamatamare Sanuki

Verdy claimed all 3 points in a tight game where it took a Douglas Vieira penalty to seal the win for Verdy, first off – Verdy had a great chance from a Free Kick from Yoshiaki Takagi hit the cross bar and it hit the Sanuki GK to go out for a corner, but Sanuki went 1-0 up after some good work up play and it was passed to Tetsuya Kijima who puts it past Suzuki to score for Sanuki – 2 minutes later Verdy were on level terms after a ball up field was collected by Vieira and he ran towards the box and the Sanuki came out and was in no man land and Vieira chips the Sanuki GK to make it 1-1 – into the second half Verdy and Sanuki had some decent chances early into the half but couldn’t get it past the Goalkeepers, for Verdy’s 2nd goal – the ball got to Yoshiaki Takagi and he shot from just outside the and the shot went into the bottom left of the goal to make the score 2-1 to Verdy – just a few minutes after that Sanuki got back on level terms from a corner thanks to Kodai Fujii’s header that beat Suzuki at his near post but Verdy sealed the win after Yoshiaki Takagi was fouled in the box by Evson, it was up to Douglas Vieira to put away the penalty and he did! He put it into the middle of the right hand corner of the net to make it 3-2 Verdy, great 3 points and it was needed too. Onto the Emperor’s Cup Away to Yokohama F. Marinos now for the next game.
