Matchday 2 2017 Review – Tokyo Verdy 1-0 Oita Trinita

Matchday 2 2017 Review – Tokyo Verdy 1-0 Oita Trinita

Verdy have finally got off the mark with their first home game of the 2017 season, the only goal of the game came from Alan Pinheiro on the 41st minute, nice to get the first 3 points of the season and move up the table after 2 games in. To the game itself, the first highlight was the goal – after a cross from Kazuki Anzai – the ball finds Vieira at the end of the 6 yard box and he shoots at the Oita GK but Takagi saves it, then Vieira somehow passes it to Pinheiro, who was in the right place at the right time, he doesn’t make a mistake and blasts the ball into the top right of the net to make it 1-0 Verdy – first goal of the season goes to Pinheiro – the next highlight is Yoshiaki Takagi taking a free kick from just not too far from the D but that free kick just goes over the bar, to the second half, Oita had a great chance – a cross by Goto, came in from the right hand side of the pitch (not far from the box) and the Oita player headed it towards goal but Shibasaki saved it and it went out for a corner, there was a great chance near the end of the game for Verdy as Vieira got into the box and passed it to Yoshiaki Takagi who shot but was blocked and the ball feel back to Yoshiaki who passed it to Kazuki Anzai who had a fierce shot – it hit off the crossbar, so close to making it 2-0 Verdy. But it was 3 points to Verdy after a 1-0 win, good result in the end.
