Matchday 3 2017 Review – Tokyo Verdy 4-0 Mito Hollyhock

Matchday 3 2017 Review – Tokyo Verdy 4-0 Mito Hollyhock

Verdy sealed a fantastic 3 points and scoring 4 goals and keeping a clean sheet as well – really cant remember the last time Verdy scored 4 goals (ED : Verdy beat Yokohama FC 6-1 Away in 2015 and won 4-1 against Kanazawa in the 2016 Season just to correct myself). First action of the game was when a huge pass up the field found Daisuke Takagi but he was fouled in the box – Verdy’s first penalty of the season – brother Yoshiaki too the honours and sent the Mito GK the other way and slotted the ball into the bottom right hand corner to make it 1-0 Verdy, into the 2nd half – it was a early bath (or shower) for Junya Hosokawa, after some lovely play by Kazuki Anzai and Yoshiaki Takagi – Yoshiaki crossed it into the box and sprinted into the box and past a surprised Mito DF and Alan Pinheiro headed it through the legs of the Mito GK to make it 2-0 Verdy, it was 3-0 20 minutes later – after a long cross by Kazuki Anzai somehow found Daisuke and he crossed into the box from the right hand side where it fell perfectly for Yoshiaki to grab his second goal – what a goal it was. The fourth goal came after a Verdy corner came in and it was cleared away by the Mito DF – it fell to Kazuki Anzai who striked it from about 40 yards maybe and the Mito GK parried it out to Akira Ibayashi who was on the end of the box and he striked it and went in off the post into the back of the net – stunning performance by the boys in Green.
