Verdy got back to winning ways after beating bottom of the table Thespa Kusatsu Gunma by 3 goals to 1. After losing the last 2 games, it was back to winning ways and puts Verdy back at the top of the table after 2 goals from Alan Pinheiro amd Douglas Vieira. Let’s have a look at the game itself, the first chance of the game when Kazuma Takai had a shot from about 30 yards away from the goal but he put it wide, the second chance of the game fell to Kazuki Anzai and his shot from 35 or so yards out, the Gunma GK got a touch to it and put the ball over the bar, from the corner, Pinheiro headed the ball towards the goal and the ball hit the cross bar, Verdy got themselves a penalty after some slick passing from 3 Verdy players – saw Yoshiaki Takagi sliced down just inside the box by Yuki Matsushita and the ref blew for a penalty just before half time, Vieira took the PK and he put it into the bottom right hand corner and sent the Gunma GK the wrong way to make it 1-0 Verdy, into the second half – Verdy doubled their lead after a cross by Vieira and Pinheiro got himself to the ball and headed it past Shimizu in the Gunma goal to make it 2-0, Gunma got themselves back into the game from a corner – the corner came in, Joongi Choi flicked it on and then Shohei Okada just flicked it past Shibasaki to make it 2-1, Pinheiro got his second and Verdy’s third – after a defensive mix up between 2 Gunma defenders, Pinheiro found himself with the ball and striked it past Shimizu’s right hand side and hit the post and went in – 3-1 win for Verdy and 3 points in the bag.
