*GOLDEN WEEK* Matchday 10 2017 Preview – Avispa Fukuoka v Tokyo Verdy

Matchday 10 2017 Preview – Avispa Fukuoka v Tokyo Verdy

Verdy’s 10th game of the 2017 J2 season is Away to Avispa Fukuoka at Level 5 Stadium. After 2 losses, it was nice to see the lads get back to winning ways and grab that 3 points, today Avispa are going to be a very tough opponents, it’s been a while since both teams played each other as Avispa was in J1 last season but got relegated after coming rock bottom in the 2 staged J1 league – Avispa seem to have a record of being in J1 for one season and coming back down to J2 for a few seasons after the 2000’s (1996-2001 J1, 2002-05 J2, 2006 J1, 2007-10 J2, 2011 J1, 2012-15 J2, 2016 J1), as I said the last time both teams played each other was in the 2015 Season and it was a 0-0, let’s have a look at the head to head between both sides – both teams played each a good number of times, so Verdy have won 11 matches, there has been 6 draws and Avispa have won 8 matches, so who knows how this game will go but fingers crossed it will be a Verdy win. LET’S FIGHT TOWARDS VICTORY.

Look At Our Opponents –
Let’s have a look at Avispa’s last game against Mito Hollyhock last weekend, Avispa drew 1-1 with Mito – it didn’t start off well for Avispa as Mito scored first and it was only in the 11th minute when Ryohei Hayashi put Hollyhock ahead after a Hishimoto shot was parried by Sugiyama and Hayashi was there to put the ball into the back of the net, 14 minutes later Avispa had to sub their own goalkeeper, half time came around and it was 1-0 Mito but 15 minutes into the second half – that man Wellington came up with a equaliser after Gilsinho crossed into the box and first to get to the ball ahead of the Mito DF was Wellington to put into the back of the net – final score 1-1.
