Matchday 26 2017 Review – Zweigen Kanazawa 0-0 Tokyo Verdy

Verdy settled for a point away to Zweigen Kanazawa and steadies the ship a little bit with Verdy dropping down the table –Verdy currently in 13th place after having a a torrid time with no win in the last 6 games which saw the team slide down the table from pretty much the top 5 teams all the way down to the current position (13th) – really hope things start turning around and get back to winning ways, let’s have a look at the game, the first chance went to Verdy as a defence splitting pass fell to Alan Pinheiro but the chance was saved by the Kanazawa GK – a decent chance for Verdy early on, it was a chance for Kanazawa after a ball from the midfield was put over the top and the Kanazawa striker tried to chip Shibasaki but went well wide, into the second half, it was Kanazawa with the first chance of the half and it was a 30 yard shot which was palmed away by Shibasaki but when the ball came back down – there was a fight for the ball in the box but somehow Kanazawa got a chance out of it, it was another long shot for Kanazawa but it went wide with the help of a touch of Shibasaki’s hand, next it was a chance for Verdy from a throw in – Verdy sub Daisuke Takagi made the Kanazawa GK make a save to put it past the post, it was end to end stuff as Kanazawa came forward again but the chance went wide after some last ditch tackle from a Verdy defender, Kanazawa almost though they won the game near the end of the second half but the header by Koichi Sato in the box hit the post and it went out for a Verdy throw in – the last chance of the game fell to Kanazawa but the chance went over the bar and that was it, a 0-0 draw.
